Clash Detection
Clash detection occurs in the design phase, and involves identifying and resolving spatial overlaps (clashes) between designed project elements from the project outset on a regular basis, typically weekly.
McGregor uses automated software to identify spatial clashes between different construction elements (such as structural steel and services) and works with designers and contractors to remedy them during the design phase. Visual checking of 3D models is also undertaken in parallel with automated processes to complete the clash detection process.
McGregor’s building and construction background, and strong experience using cutting edge BIM applications allows the McGregor team to run clash detection efficiently and effectively on large and complex projects.
McGregor is application/software agnostic, and is experienced in the following clash detection applications:
-
- Navisworks
-
Revizto
